Youth for Direct Relief
Direct Relief is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization with a stated mission to “improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty or emergency situations by mobilizing and providing essential medical resources needed for their care." During the 2020-2021 school year, we will collaborate with other Peninsula students to devise fundraisers for the Direct Relief organization, while following COVID-19 restrictions.

This year, our club will be having monthly online meetings through Teams. You will also be able to participate in webinars, leadership calls, and training sessions hosted by the national Students Demand Action organization, while also planning and organizing events such as National Gun Violence Survivors Week like our club did last year.

Iranian Student Society aims to connect all Persian students on campus while informing all students of Iranian culture. With current circumstances due to Covid-19, we will use social media to conduct virtual mehmoonis (Persian parties) and we will do a virtual Persian spirit week during the Persian New Year in March (Nowrooz).
